What are the responsibilities and job description for the Field Service Engineer - PA position at E3 Company?
The basic function of the Field Service Engineer is to provide technical leadership, guidance, and support to internal and external customers related to E3 products, development and services. Responsibilities may also include aiding manufacturing or services with capital equipment justification, facility layouts, modifications to service areas, quality audits, inventory audits and End User support/comminucation. Field engineering duties will be prioritized by needs related to company performance and metrics.
Role and Responsibilities
Support services of E3 products, personnel, or other requested duty
- May require non-standard work hours
- May supervise field qualification activities
- May train products and procedures
- May participate in preventative maintenance services
- May troubleshoot equipment deficiency and provide formal engineering response plans
- May be required to assist district service inadequacies
Quality Assurance
- May confirm part validity from development activities to manufacturing activities
- May conduct product data analysis and provide to management reports
- May participate in corrective action plans and responsibilities
Product Development
- May evaluate engineering fit, form, and function of designs
- May conduct design of experiments
- May validate operations manuals and collect customer feedback for additional need or corrections
Manufacturing Engineering Support
- May compose work instructions for service or field assembly processes
- May propose jigs/fixtures and/or tooling to facilitate more efficient and safe work practices
Desired Education or Work Experience
- B.S. in Engineering or Other Technical Field
- A.S. in Engineering and 4 years of relevant field service experience
Required Characteristics
- Technical problem-solving and mechanical/electrical aptitude
- Physically capable of lifting 70lbs not less than 36”
- No DMV major moving violations and/or DUI/DWI convictions within the previous 36 months
- Able to safely tow a tandem axle trailer
- 50-75% travel/over night stay (35-75% customer operations site travel)
- Proficient with MS Office programs
- Ability to work autonomously
- Superior organizational skills; strong attention to detail; excellent time management skills and commitment to deadlines
- Ability to maintain and handle confidential information
- Demonstrates professional work characteristics, high initiative, dependability, and credibility
- Positive and action oriented personality
- Prior experience with electronic and hydraulic systems
- Professional verbal and written communications skills
- Familiarity with P&ID’s, build instructions and CAD principles (SolidWorks skills preferred)

Pay: $58,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
