The accounting specialist working in the Accounts Receivable capacity is responsible for managing and overseeing the company’s
accounts receivable processes. This role ensures timely and accurate invoices to customers, maintaining customer accounts,
processing customer payments, and works closely with the finance team to maintain the company’s cash flow. This role also handles
disputes, aging reports, and customer communications, as well as working closely with internal teams to support overall financial
goals.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Invoice processing – prepare and send invoices to customers in a timely and accurate manner, ensuring all terms and conditions
have been met
- Payment collection – managing collection process by monitoring outstanding accounts and follow-up with clients
- Customer Account Maintenance -maintain accurate customer account information
- Dispute Resolution – address and resolve customer disputes/payment issues
- Reporting – prepare regular AR reports including Aging, Collections Status, Unbilled, etc.
- Payment Application – process incoming payments and ensuring correct customer application
- Cash flow management – assist in maintaining optimal cash flow by timely processing
- Internal controls – follow established internal controls, schedules, and procedures to maintain accuracy with volume
- Compliance and collaboration – work closely with sales, customers, and finance teams to address customer issues while
ensuring payment terms are met and compliance with company policies are adhered to
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software as well as other accounting software programs.
- Ability to operate related office equipment, such as computers, 10-key calculator, and copier.
- Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to anticipate work needs and interact professionally with customers.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least two years’ related experience required.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
