Description:
E2 Project Management LLC (E2PM) is a small-business enterprise (SBE) firm based out of Rockaway and Manasquan, NJ offering multi-discipline services in throughout the New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania regions. The firm offers expertise in engineering, environmental compliance, construction management, natural and cultural resource management, land surveying, land development and site planning, linear development (power and utility) and wireless telecommunications services. E2PM’s fast-paced environmental department is seeking qualified applicants for a Full-Time, Environmental Project Manager with broad-based expertise in New Jersey Site Remediation projects. The ideal candidate must have a Bachelor’s degree in Geology, Environmental Science, Hydrogeology or Engineering, or related field. A strong working knowledge with experience in New Jersey site investigation, site remediation, environmental compliance, and due diligence (Phase I Environmental Site Assessments) is required.
Typical Duties and responsibilities:
- Manage, develop and complete Work Plans, Health and Safety Plans (HASP), Quality Assurance Project Plans (QAPP), Preliminary Assessments (PA), Phase I Environmental Site Assessments (ESA), Site and Remedial Investigations (SI/RI), Remedial Action Work Plans (RAWP) and Remedial Action Reports (RAR).
- Manage projects, staff assigned, field assessments, investigations, and construction oversight.
- Serve as the liaison between the client, contractors, and state and local regulators
- Provide oversight or direction on the collection of soil, air and water samples to determine the level and cause of environmental contamination.
- Develop solutions to control, fix or prevent environmental problems. Conducting environmental research projects and preparing reports and presentations on their findings.
- Apply and coordinate appropriate permits for remediation systems, assessment activities and construction activities.
- Prepare work orders and effectively coordinate field activities; ensure quality, accuracy, and completeness of project deliverables.
- Support client development, proposal preparation and marketing efforts as needed to help build the Environmental Division.
- Deliver high-quality work products within project deadlines and budgets
- Communicate effectively with Licensed Site Remediation Professionals (LSRPs), Project Managers, subcontractors, and client representatives when needed.
Requirements (education, licensing, certifications, etc.):
- 7 Years of related experience (primarily in NJ / NY).
- Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science or Similar; Master’s degree Preferred.
- Professional certifications, LSRP and/or Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM) (Preferred but not mandatory).
- Significant project management skills with site investigations, remedial design, remediation and operation of remedial systems, etc.
- Strong knowledge and experience with NJDEP field sampling procedures, conducting soil and groundwater sampling / site investigations; technical requirements for site remediation (Tech Regs), Administrative Requirements for the Remediation of Contaminated Sites (ARRCS) programs and NJDEP guidance manuals.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently on assigned tasks.
- HAZWOPER OSHA 40-Hour certification (Preferred)
- Geographic Information System (GIS) experience (Preferred).
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (i.e. Word, Excel, Outlook) and Adobe.
- Excellent verbal and written skills, strong interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong ability to manage and multi-task on several projects simultaneously and meet project deadlines.
- Ability to travel on an as needed basis. Possess a vehicle and valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
