Job Description:
The Shipper is responsible for preparing outgoing shipments, verifying order accuracy, packaging goods, and coordinating with carriers to ensure timely delivery. This role requires attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a warehouse or distribution setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and package items for shipment according to company and carrier standards
- Verify shipping information, labels, and documentation for accuracy
- Load shipments onto trucks or pallets safely and efficiently
- Coordinate with carriers and schedule pickups as needed
- Maintain shipping records and report any discrepancies or delays
- Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean work area
Requirements:
- Ability to lift and move packages up to 50 lbs
- Familiarity with shipping software and labeling systems
- Basic computer and organizational skills
- Previous warehouse or shipping experience preferred
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.50 - $19.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
Work Location: In person
