Duties
- Safely operate reach trucks, clamp trucks, pallet jacks, and other heavy equipment to load and unload shipments efficiently.
- Conduct order picking using RF scanners and
pickers to fulfill customer orders accurately and swiftly. - Manage materials handling tasks including stacking, organizing, and storing inventory within the warehouse.
- Assist with shipping & receiving activities by verifying inbound and outbound shipments against documentation.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to OSHA safety standards and protocols.
- Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize storage space and improve workflow processes using warehouse management systems.
- Perform routine inspections of equipment such as cranes, forklifts, and heavy machinery to ensure operational safety and mechanical integrity.
Skills
- Extensive experience in warehouse distribution, order picking, and materials handling.
- Proficiency in operating heavy equipment including reach trucks, forklifts, clamp trucks, crane systems, and pallet jacks.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA safety regulations related to warehouse operations and heavy equipment use.
- Mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot basic issues on forklifts or other machinery.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS), RF scanners, and shipping & receiving procedures.
- Experience in construction or industrial environments involving heavy lifting and load management.
