Overview
We are seeking a skilled Injection Mold Operator to join our dynamic manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in plastics injection molding and possess a variety of technical skills necessary for operating and maintaining injection molding machines. This role requires attention to detail, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
- Operate and monitor injection molding machines to ensure optimal production quality and efficiency.
- Conduct quality inspections using precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers to ensure product specifications are met.
- Perform routine maintenance on machinery, including troubleshooting issues related to programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
- Utilize hand tools and fabrication techniques for setup and adjustments of molds.
- Collaborate with team members to implement lean manufacturing principles and improve production processes.
- Handle materials safely and efficiently, ensuring proper materials handling practices are followed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area in compliance with safety standards.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in plastics injection molding; knowledge of plastics blow molding and extrusion is a plus.
- Familiarity with CNC machinery, including CNC lathe operations, is highly desirable.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to understand complex machinery and manufacturing processes.
- Experience with press brake machines and assembly operations is beneficial.
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to production tasks.
- Previous warehouse experience is an advantage, particularly in a manufacturing setting.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated.
