Duties
- Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on manufacturing equipment, including hydraulics, electrical systems, and mechanical components
- Troubleshoot complex machinery issues using schematics, technical manuals, and analysis skills to identify root causes quickly
- Operate precision measuring instruments to ensure machinery aligns with specifications and quality standards
- Utilize programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to diagnose and modify automation systems for improved efficiency
- Maintain accurate maintenance records via Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) software
- Conduct electrical work involving low voltage and high voltage systems safely, adhering to industry standards and safety protocols
- Assist with field service operations, including troubleshooting on-site equipment at various locations within the facility or customer sites
Skills
- Extensive experience working in a manufacturing facility environment with industrial maintenance responsibilities
- Strong mechanical knowledge complemented by expertise in hydraulics, welding (
welding as applicable), and HVAC/R systems - Proficiency with schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals for troubleshooting electrical and mechanical issues
- Hands-on experience with industrial electrician tasks, including using ammeters, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic tools
- Ability to operate scissor lifts and other industrial equipment safely for maintenance access
- Knowledge of high voltage systems and low voltage control circuits with a focus on safety compliance
- Familiarity with CMMS platforms for work order management and maintenance tracking
- Customer service skills combined with effective communication in English to coordinate with team members and clients as needed
- Analysis skills to interpret data from precision instruments and diagnostic tools for accurate troubleshooting
- Experience in technical sales or providing technical support is a plus but not required
- Military background or discipline-oriented training is considered advantageous for this role
