The Residential Electrical Apprentice supports the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems in residential settings under the supervision of experienced technicians. Working closely with journeyman electricians, the Residential Electrical Apprentice will assist in a variety of tasks, including conduit bending, installing wiring, outlets, lighting, switches and electrical panels, as well as troubleshooting and repairing electrical issues. The role provides valuable on-the-job training in accordance with safety protocols, electrical codes, and industry standards.
This position is suited for apprentices who are progressing through their training program and taking on more advanced responsibilities in preparation for journeyman-level role. It offers a dynamic work environment where individuals can develop foundational knowledge and technical expertise necessary for a successful career in residential electrical work.
Qualifications:
- Completion of basic electrical training
- 1–2 years of hands-on experience in residential electrical work preferred.
- Strong interest in the electrical trade and commitment to continued learning.
- Basic understanding of electrical systems, tools, and safety procedures.
- Ability to follow directions, work well in a team, and adapt to different job site environments.
- Willingness to take on increasing responsibilities as skills develop.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the installation, maintenance, and repair of residential electrical systems.
- Support journeyman electricians in performing tasks safely and efficiently.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
- Use hand and power tools to complete installations and repairs.
- Adhere to all safety standards, codes, and regulations on job sites.
- Learn and apply proper wiring methods, conduit bending, and grounding techniques.
- Troubleshoot basic electrical problems under guidance.
- Participate in daily site setup, cleanup, and material handling.

Pay: $14.57 - $18.00 per hour
