Commercial/Industrial Electrician (Journeyman EE or Master Electrician ME)

Job Summary:
We are looking for a highly skilled Commercial Electrician (Journeyman) that holds an EE or ME license in KY to join our growing team. This role is ideal for an electrician who has completed a formal apprenticeship and possesses extensive experience in commercial electrical systems. The Journeyman Electrician brings a strong foundation in electrical theory, codes, regulations, and safety practices, along with the ability to deliver high-quality work in fast-paced commercial environments.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, dependable, and capable of working both independently and as part of a team to complete projects safely, efficiently, and on schedule.

About the Role:
A Journeyman Electrician is a fully trained professional who has completed a rigorous apprenticeship combining classroom instruction and hands-on experience under expert supervision. They are proficient in installing, maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting electrical systems across commercial and other environments. Known for their problem-solving abilities and craftsmanship, they play a critical role in ensuring project success while meeting strict timelines and budgets.

Key Responsibilities:

• Installation: Install, maintain, and repair commercial electrical systems, components, and equipment based on blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
• Troubleshooting: Diagnose electrical issues, identify root causes, and implement effective and efficient solutions.
• Compliance: Ensure all work meets local, state, and national electrical codes and safety standards.
• Safety: Follow and enforce strict safety procedures to maintain a safe work environment at all times.
• Testing & Inspection: Perform system testing, inspections, and quality checks to ensure functionality and compliance.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of work performed, including installations, repairs, inspections, and time tracking.
• Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, engineers, contractors, and other trades to ensure seamless project execution.
• Mentorship: Provide training, guidance, and support to apprentices and less experienced electricians.
• Customer Service: Communicate professionally with clients and stakeholders regarding project updates, timelines, and expectations.
• Continuous Learning: Stay current with evolving technologies, tools, and industry best practices through ongoing education and training.

Adaptability & Work Approach:

• Adapt to a variety of commercial job sites and occasionally residential or industrial environments as needed.
• Quickly learn and apply new safety protocols, tools, and regulatory requirements.
• Modify work plans and schedules to meet changing project demands and deadlines.
• Adjust techniques and methods to align with project specifications and innovations in the field.

• Completion of an accredited electrical apprenticeship program

Work Environment:
This position involves working on active commercial job sites, which may include indoor and outdoor conditions. The role may require physical activity such as lifting, climbing ladders, and working in confined or elevated spaces.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $35.00 - $45.00 per hour
