Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced, dependable, and proactive Assistant Operations Manager to join our leadership team and drive excellence across an established and growing recycling and asset recovery company.
This is a hands-on management position for someone who leads by example, works well at solving problems, and isn't afraid to jump in wherever needed. You will work alongside employees in both the warehouse and the office, while helping oversee daily operations. When the Operations Manager is unavailable, you will be expected to ensure the business continues to operate efficiently and professionally. Cross-training in each department will be extensive.

Duties
- Assist in managing the daily operations of the business to ensure timely order fulfillment and optimal warehouse performance.
- Supervise employees in both the warehouse and office spaces.
- Assist is refurbishing desktop computers and laptops for resale.
- Assist in creating professional eBay listings, including testing, photographing, and accurately describing products.
- Respond professionally to online customer inquiries and communications.
- Cross-train in all areas of the business to ensure operational continuity.
- Assist with inventory management, workflow coordination, and quality control.
- Support marketing initiatives and promotional efforts.
- Safely operate company box trucks ranging from 16' to 26' as needed.
- Maintain a clean, organized, safe, and productive work environment.
- Assume management responsibilities and make sound business decisions when the Operations Manager is unavailable.
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives utilizing Lean methodologies and continuous improvement practices to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and streamline workflows.
- Oversee warehouse supervisor activities, supervise staff performance, and foster a team-oriented environment focused on operational excellence.
- Assist in budgeting processes, cost analysis, and profit & loss management to maximize profitability while maintaining high service levels.
- Ensure Homeland Security State and Federal compliance with safety standards, warehouse management system protocols, and transportation regulations to maintain a secure working environment.
- Support procurement activities, materials management, and logistics coordination to optimize supply chain flow from suppliers to customers.
Qualifications

Experience
- 2 years in supervisory role required.
Education
