Database Architect Role Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Database Architect with deep expertise in Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server to design, implement, and optimize enterprise-level database solutions. This role involves creating scalable, secure, and high-performing database architectures that align with business objectives and technical standards.

Key Responsibilities:
Database Build and Deploy Operations
o Automate database build, deployment, and rollback processes integrated with CI/CD pipelines.
o Define and implement robust deployment and rollback strategies for database changes.
o Create sanitized, lightweight databases for feature development environments.
o Establish version control practices for database scripts and maintain a clear, consistent source code repository structure.
• Database Architecture & Design:
o Develop logical and physical data models for complex applications.
o Design schemas, tables, indexes, and relationships for optimal performance.
o Define data governance policies, standards, and best practices.
• Technology Strategy & Planning:
o Create database architecture roadmap aligned with business goals.
o Evaluate and recommend database technologies (Oracle RAC, SQL Server AlwaysOn, cloud solutions).
o Plan for high availability, scalability, and disaster recovery.
• Performance & Optimization:
o Design for query efficiency, indexing strategies, and storage optimization.
o Collaborate with DBAs and developers for performance tuning.
• Integration & Security:
o Define data integration strategies across systems and platforms.
o Ensure compliance with security standards and regulatory requirements.
• Collaboration & Leadership:
o Work closely with application architects, business analysts, and DBAs.
o Provide technical guidance and mentorship to development teams.

Required Skills & Qualifications:
• Technical Expertise:
o Strong experience in Oracle 12c/19c and SQL Server 2016/2019 architecture.
o Proficiency in data modeling, PL/SQL, T-SQL, and performance tuning.
o Knowledge of ETL processes, data warehousing, and cloud databases (Azure SQL, Oracle Cloud).
• Additional Skills:
o Familiarity with enterprise architecture frameworks.
o Strong understanding of high availability solutions (Oracle RAC, AlwaysOn Availability Groups).
o Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience:
o 10 years of experience in database design and architecture.
