E. SMITH IS SEEKING SKILLED LEAD HVAC INSTALLERS TO EXPAND ITS INSTALLATION DEPARTMENT. E. Smith Heating & Air Conditioning, one of North Atlanta's leaders in heating & air conditioning is looking for skilled, enthusiastic, and experienced HVAC Installers for the Metro Atlanta and surrounding areas. Responsibilities:

  • Must be 21 and have a valid Georgia Driver’s License and have clean driving record for at least the past three years. The driving record (MVR) will be checked prior to employment and must be acceptable to our insurance company.
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug screening test and be willing to abide by the rules for our Georgia Certified Drug-Free work place.
  • Must pass pre-employment background check
  • Must be EPA Certified with 3-Year Lead Installer Experience
  • High School Diploma or GE
  • Complete necessary paperwork to support invoices, estimates, orders, warranty paperwork, timesheets and other information provided to customers, coworkers and supervisors as needed
  • Must be able to take direction from Supervisors
  • Ability to report to work on time each workday
  • Ability to adhere to company dress code
  • Ability to accurately complete paperwork
  • Ability to comply with ALL SAFETY RULES
  • Must possess basic safety knowledge of tools and surroundings including how to safely use a ladder

Duties:

  • Properly use safety equipment daily, back brace, lifting harness, safety glasses and continual observation of surroundings and team members.
  • Clean truck as needed, including exterior washing and interior cleanings. Vehicle should be kept free of trash, debris, unused food and drink. Vehicle interior should be swept free from excess dirt. Vehicle interior compartments should hold all tools and equipment, keeping floor area free from falling and/or rolling items
  • Properly prepare the job site using drop cloths, moving furniture or obstructions and prepare surface areas using floor protectors
  • Properly remove all install flexible ductwork per code
  • Properly support ductwork per code
  • Complete necessary paperwork to support invoices, estimates, orders, warranty paperwork, timesheets and other information provided to customers, coworkers and supervisors as needed
  • Pick up parts, supplies and equipment from distributors in company vehicle as needed or required
  • Operate company vehicle following all Safety standards and applicable laws
  • Follow instructions from supervisor in a timely manner
  • Immediately report any problems with company tools or vehicles to the office
  • Work well with customers, co-workers and other subcontractors
  • Clean job site. Job site should be picked up and left in a condition better or equivalent to that as when we arrived. This includes moving all trash and debris, sweeping or vacuuming site, removing all tools, parts and equipment.
  • Maintain professional appearance and attitude always. Use and perform workflow process on service software through mobile device
  • Obtain positive customer google reviews
  • Proper attendance including on time arrivals

Physical demands and work environment:

  • Physical demands: Reaching, bending, stooping, walking, sitting, crawling, squatting. Holding, carrying objects and lifting- including heavy objects such as equipment. Use of tools and equipment such as hand tools and ladders including extension ladders.
  • Work environment: Environment consists of extreme variations due to conditions, including but not limited to: heat, cold, wet, wind, sunlight, absence of light, insects, animals, mammals, reptiles and other conditions deemed by worksites.
