Manufacturing Engineer / CNC Lead
(Hands-On | Build-to-Print | Growth Role)
Location: Sanford, FL (On-site)
Compensation: $75,000 – $100,000
Overview
E-Sector is a high-mix manufacturing shop supporting work across space, defense, simulation, energy, medical, and other advanced industrial systems.
We are not a production shop, but we are built to handle with the equipment, capability, and available capacity for scaling, adding more repeat work, improving throughput, and growing our team.
We’re looking for someone who can take ownership of work from:
quote → plan → program → setup → prove-out → finished part
This is a hands-on role with real ownership and the opportunity to help build and grow the operation.
What You’ll Do
- Take jobs from print and determine the best way to manufacture them
- Program, set up, and prove out your own work
- Work across multiple machines:
- CNC mills (3 & 4 axis)
- Live tooling lathes
- Laser cutting
- Press brake
- Wire EDM
- Step into difficult or high-risk jobs and get them across the finish line
- Support quoting, estimating, and job planning
- Help assign work based on difficulty, risk, and capability
- Work directly with engineers and customers
- Contribute to building repeatable processes
- Help scale operations and grow the team
How This Shop Runs
- High-mix, short-run job shop
- CNC repeat work: ~20–30%
- Laser repeat work: ~70–80%
- 80–90% of CNC work is setup and prove-out
- Fast-turn environment
- Lean operation focused on execution
- We have significant available capacity and are actively growing repeat and production work.
What Makes You a Fit

- Comfortable in setup-heavy environments
- Ability to program and run your own jobs
- Strong understanding of tooling, fixturing, and sequencing
- Ability to move fast while maintaining quality
