Position Summary
E.S. Wagner Company, LLC has an excellent opportunity for a Heavy Equipment Mechanic. A sample of the position's duties and responsibilities include:
- Inspecting various types of off-road heavy equipment including trucks, excavators, bulldozers, etc. for proper performance.
- Diagnosing faults using computerized testing equipment.
- Adjusting equipment and replacing faulty parts.
- Repairing damaged equipment parts.
- Performing major repair work
- Consulting/ collaborating with other mechanics as needed
- Reporting damaged or faulty equipment to Equipment Department management
- 2 years experience/training in hydraulics, diesel mechanics, and electrical troubleshooting. Caterpillar experience preferred.
- 5 years proven work experience as a diesel or heavy equipment mechanic.
- Understanding of computer testing technologies
- Demonstrated ability to work safely and promote a safe work environment.
- Excellent team and communication skills.
- Ability to problem solve and adjust to changing circumstances.
- Successfully pass pre-employment drug screening
