Responsibilities
- Greet prospective tenants warmly and provide comprehensive tours of available properties, highlighting features and benefits to foster interest.
- Manage the leasing process from initial inquiry through application approval, including data entry into Yardi or OneSite property management systems.
- Verify applicant information, conduct background checks, and ensure compliance with Section 8 and LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit) requirements.
- Prepare, review, and negotiate lease agreements, contracts, and related legal documents with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Maintain organized filing systems for lease documents, tenant records, and legal administrative files; ensure all data is current and accessible.
- Address tenant inquiries promptly via phone or in person, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills.
- Collaborate with property maintenance teams to coordinate repairs or facilities management issues as needed.
- Uphold Fair Housing regulations and conflict management protocols to promote a fair and respectful leasing environment.
- Upsell additional services or amenities to enhance tenant satisfaction and retention while meeting sales goals.
- Assist with property marketing efforts using CRM tools to attract potential tenants and build lasting relationships.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of LIHTC programs, Section 8 housing policies, Landlord-Tenant Law, and Fair Housing regulations.
- Proficiency in property management software such as Yardi, OneSite, or similar platforms; experience with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) is a plus.
- Excellent legal administrative experience including familiarity with contracts, lease agreements, and regulatory compliance.
- Demonstrated ability in sales techniques, negotiation skills, conflict management, and customer relationship management.
- Office experience with data entry, filing systems, and general administrative tasks; ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently.
- Exceptional communication skills with professional phone etiquette; adept at handling difficult situations tactfully.
- Knowledge of property maintenance processes and facilities management principles to coordinate repairs effectively.
