What are the responsibilities and job description for the E&R Warehouse Associate position at E & R INDUSTRIAL SALES, INC.?
POSTION SUMMARY:
The Warehouse role at E&R Industrial performs warehouse duties and functions to support inventory integrity, order processing – picking, packing, staging, and shipping in accordance to standard operating procedures and safe work practices, as well as general housekeeping to provide a safe and clean work environment.
Under the direction, specific duties include:
- Valid driver’s license
- Use Latitude software and a hand held scanner to process all warehouse transactions
- Use CribMaster software and vending equipment to process on-site deployment of material at the customer
- Unload trailers using material handling equipment
- Including 55 gal drums
- Pull orders daily
- Check-in and receive material daily
- Put-away stock material in appropriate locations daily
- Comply with DOT regulations regarding the handling and shipping of material
- Pack and stage merchandise and complete necessary documents
- Deliver material to customer daily
- Maintain inventory accuracy through the use of computerized scanning equipment and other inventory maintenance reports
PREFERRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 1 or more years’ experience in related field
- Experience operating power equipment (fork truck, pallet jack, drum hand truck)
- Experience operating RF scanner and inventory management software
- Experience operating computer based vending equipment
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Attention to detail and ability to multi-task
- Able to follow verbal and written instructions with minimal supervision
- Able to operate powered industrial equipment
- Able to operate computerized warehouse management equipment
- Able to lift 75 lbs.
- Able to drive delivery van and box truck
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Work conditions are typical of a typical Distribution Center
- Ability to lift 25 to 60 lbs. and/or occasionally work in difficult positions
- Both manual and power equipment used to pull and put away material
