E&O Kitchen and Bar is a vibrant, modern restaurant in the heart of San Francisco’s Union Square. Known for our inventive Asian-inspired cuisine, handcrafted cocktails, and lively atmosphere, we also host a wide range of private events, group dining experiences, and banquets. We are seeking an experienced Independent Contractor specializing in Group & Banquet Sales to help us expand our events business and maximize banquet revenue.
Role Overview
As an Independent Contractor for Group & Banquet Sales, you will be responsible for proactively driving private dining, group reservations, and banquet sales. This will be a combination of onsite/remote work as we require someone who can work closely with our space and team. You’ll leverage your experience in restaurant and event sales to generate leads, convert inquiries, and build long-term relationships with corporate clients, event planners, and local organizations. This is a results-driven role with flexible, project-based hours.
Key Responsibilities

Generate and manage leads for group bookings, private events, and banquets.

Build and maintain relationships with corporate clients, event planners, and community organizations.

Respond to event inquiries, create proposals, and negotiate contracts to close sales.

Collaborate with restaurant management and events team to ensure seamless execution of booked events.

Develop sales strategies and outreach campaigns to increase group and banquet revenue.

Track sales activity, provide regular updates, and meet agreed-upon revenue targets.
Qualifications

Proven experience in restaurant, hospitality, or event sales (banquet/private dining experience strongly preferred).

Strong network of local business and event contacts in San Francisco or the Bay Area.

Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.

Ability to work independently and manage a sales pipeline.
