About the Role:
The Medical Assistant Certified plays a vital role in supporting both administrative and clinical functions to ensure efficient office operations and high-quality patient care. This position involves direct patient interaction, provider support, and accurate documentation in accordance with state regulations. Responsibilities include rooming patients, obtaining vital signs, preparing exam rooms, and assisting with routine clinical tasks to facilitate a smooth and professional healthcare experience.
What You’ll Do:
Clerical Duties:

Schedule appointments, call in prescriptions, initiate prior authorizations.

Maintain legal, ethical, and accurate documentation.
-
Support training of new staff, assist with front desk and phones as needed.

Follow physician preferences and compliance protocols (HIPAA, OSHA, etc.).
Clinical Duties:
-
Room patients and collect vital signs, medical histories, and chief complaints.

Assist providers during examinations, procedures, and in-office treatments.

Administer injections and perform point-of-care testing as ordered.

Scribe during patient visits and prepare documentation for provider review in the EMR.

Verify and prepare patient charts, ensuring labs, imaging, pathology, and referral reports are complete.

Sterilize instruments, operate the autoclave, and maintain clean, well-stocked exam rooms and clinical supplies.

Triage patient clinical calls and respond to EMR tasks, pharmacy coordination, and patient communications.

Manage medication samples and inventory in compliance with clinical protocols.

Adhere to HIPAA regulations, infection control standards, and safety procedures.

Qualifications:Qualifications & Requirements:

Completion of an accredited MA program or 1 year of hands-on clinical experience.

Certification from AAMA, NHA, AMT, NCCT, or AMCA.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements:
