Security Architect

We are looking for a Security Architect to design, document, and enhance security architecture for Florida Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) systems. This includes SSPs, MFA enhancements, access control structures, and technical security assessments.

Responsibilities

• Develop System Security Plans (SSPs) for moderate-impact systems.
• Create data flow diagrams using the Florida Digital Service template.
• Support MFA architecture, privileged access design, and audit logging compliance.
• Evaluate system architectures and recommend improvements aligned with NIST CSF.
• Partner with DEP system owners to document controls and technical risks.
  
  

Qualifications

• 5 years in security architecture, engineering, or technical cybersecurity roles.
• Deep knowledge of NIST frameworks and state cybersecurity standards.
• Experience with SSP creation, data flow modeling, and control design.
• Certifications preferred: CISSP, CCSP, CISA, GIAC.
