We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Construction Painter to join our vibrant team. In this role, you will be responsible for applying paint, coatings, and finishes to a variety of surfaces across residential, commercial, and industrial construction sites. Duties

• Prepare surfaces thoroughly by cleaning, sanding, plastering, caulking, and applying primers to ensure optimal paint adhesion.
• Apply paints, stains, varnishes, and specialty coatings using hand tools such as brushes, rollers, spray guns (including airless paint spraying), and power tools.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine project scope and specifications.
• Execute residential and commercial painting projects with precision while adhering to safety protocols on construction sites.
• Perform surface repairs including drywall patching, plastering, stucco application, trim carpentry, frame carpentry, masonry work, and concrete finishing as needed.
• Utilize schematics and technical instructions for fixture installation or restoration tasks.
• Manage multiple projects efficiently by estimating materials required for each job using construction estimating skills and basic math calculations.
• Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and disposing of debris responsibly after each project.
• Collaborate with other trades such as carpenters or masons during remodeling or renovation projects to ensure seamless integration of work phases.
• Conduct quality inspections throughout the project to ensure finishes meet industry standards for color consistency (color theory) and surface smoothness.
• Keep detailed records of work completed, materials used, and any issues encountered during projects for future reference or client reporting.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in construction painting with a strong background in residential and commercial settings.
• Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, scaffolding equipment, and airless spray systems.
• Knowledge of construction estimating processes to accurately assess project scope and material needs.
• Familiarity with blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and technical drawings relevant to construction projects.
• Expertise in surface preparation techniques including plastering, caulking, stucco application, drywall repair, and restoration work.
• Ability to perform demolition or renovation tasks such as fixture installation or trim carpentry when necessary.
• Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to project planning.
• Experience with industrial painting processes is a plus.
• Strong understanding of safety procedures on construction sites to ensure compliance with OSHA standards.
• Excellent communication skills for coordinating with team members and clients alike.
• Maintenance Person experience or background in maintenance can be advantageous for versatile project support.
