Preschool Teacher Associate
Position Overview
The Preschool Teacher Associate works alongside the lead teacher to provide a safe, nurturing, and positive learning environment for preschool students. The associate assists with daily classroom activities, supports students’ needs, and helps the teacher with classroom responsibilities.
Responsibilities
- Assist the lead teacher with daily classroom activities and routines.
- Prepare and serve classroom snacks.
- Help plan, prepare, and complete crafts and hands-on activities.
- Assist students with classroom activities, bathroom needs, clean-up, and transitions as needed.
- Help maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom.
- Support students who may need additional help or encouragement.
- Assist the teacher with materials, preparation, copies, and other classroom needs.
- Help supervise students and ensure their safety throughout the preschool day.
- Encourage positive behavior, kindness, sharing, and cooperation.
- Participate in special classroom activities and events as needed.
- Work cooperatively with the lead teacher and follow classroom and preschool policies.
- Help create a loving, Christ-centered environment where children feel safe, valued, and cared for.
Schedule
The preschool program operates Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday. There is no preschool on Wednesdays. School runs from the day after Labor Day until early May. You will have summers off!
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is dependable, patient, caring, energetic, and enjoys working with young children. A willingness to work as part of a team and support the lead teacher is essential.
Pay: $13.00 - $14.00 per hour
Expected hours: 28.0 per week
