What are the responsibilities and job description for the Summer Boost Program Lead position at E.L. Haynes Public Charter School?
The Summer Boost program is an academic support program for students in grades 3 through 8 who are three or more years behind in both Math and Reading. Summer Boosts runs from June 23 - July 24. The Summer Boost program uses the Lavinia curriculum to improve students’ proficiency in reading and math. In addition to the academic program, Summer Boost offers an enrichment program for students each afternoon.

- Provide leadership to Summer Boost staff.
- Coordinate the planning and implementation of Summer Boost curriculum for between 12-20 English and Math teachers.
- Coordinate class schedules and procedures.
- Coordinate and oversee curriculum training and implementation.
- Ensure the administration or pre and post assessments.
- Oversee the distribution of materials, supplies and curriculum materials.
- Observe English and Math classrooms to ensure curriculum implementation.
- Communicate with families regarding programming and logistics.
- Collaborate with the Out of School Time Director to align enrichment activities for students.
The ideal candidate will posses:
- Strong organizational and project management skills to manage schedules, materials, and logistics.
- Leadership skills to lead, motivate, and support staff and students.
- Strong communication skills in order to communicate clearly with staff, families, and students.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with operations and enrichment teams.
- Problem-solving skills to help navigate challenges quickly in a fast-paced summer environment.
