Position Overview:The Orthodontic Technician plays a key role in supporting clinical operations by assisting with orthodontic procedures, and ensuring a smooth, positive experience for every patient. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, dependable, and enjoys working in a collaborative, fast-paced setting.
Responsibilities:
- Assist orthodontist during chairside procedures and adjustments.
- Scan for appliances.
- Prepare and maintain instruments, equipment, and materials for each appointment.
- Record patient treatment information accurately in the practice management system.
- Maintain infection control and sterilization protocols in compliance with OSHA and office standards.
- Communicate effectively with patients, parents, and the clinical team to ensure exceptional care.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as an orthodontic or dental assistant preferred.
- Radiography and coronal polishing certifications highly desired (or willingness to obtain).
- Excellent manual dexterity and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Positive, patient-centered attitude and commitment to quality care.
- Must be able to travel to both Angola and Kendallville locations.
