Maintenance Technician

E.J. Basler Co. is seeking a skilled and reliable Maintenance Technician to support our precision manufacturing operations. This role is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining production equipment to ensure safe, efficient, and uninterrupted operations. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on maintenance professional with strong mechanical, electrical, and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventative and reactive maintenance on mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems
• Diagnose and repair industrial equipment including CNC machines, motors, pumps, conveyors, and automation systems
• Troubleshoot PLC-controlled systems and electrical components
• Install, test, and calibrate new or modified equipment
• Complete welding, pipefitting, and fabrication work as required for repairs and improvements
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation
• Maintain accurate maintenance logs, work orders, and compliance documentation
• Follow all safety procedures including lockout/tagout (LOTO) and proper PPE use
• Collaborate with production and engineering teams on continuous improvement initiatives

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required (technical certification preferred)
• Minimum 5 years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
• Experience troubleshooting PLC-controlled equipment
• Welding and fabrication experience preferred
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong attention to detail and safety awareness

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and climbing
• Ability to work in industrial environments with noise, temperature changes, and machinery

Work Environment

• Manufacturing facility with exposure to moving mechanical parts, oils, coolants, fumes, and noise
• PPE (safety glasses, gloves, ear protection) required
