Immediate 3-year contract position throughout the Southeast region- 100% travel.

Education:

  • 5 -10 Years Experience in related field.
  • Accredited Bachelor’s Degree in Geology preferred.
  • Geological Engineering accepted.

Responsibilities:

  • Field oversight for monitoring well installation programs, foundation investigations, contamination assessments, geologic site characterizations, or related projects.
  • Perform soil and rock logging. Prepare professional logs for soil, rock, and monitoring well construction data.
  • Install water monitoring and water quality equipment and manage the data output.
  • Manage drilling and other related contractors per company guidelines and procedures.
  • Interface with various customers, assist Geologist and Land Group peers to facilitate field investigations.

Skillsets and Expertise:

  • Experience in executing field investigations utilizing various drilling methods and resources.
  • Experience with soil and rock logging, monitoring well construction, groundwater monitoring, and field data reporting.
  • Knowledge of environmental sampling and testing methods.
  • General knowledge of federal, state, and local regulatory requirements.
  • Working knowledge of gINT BoreDM Boring Log Program.
  • Flexible computer skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to work with limited supervision.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Safety first mindset.
  • Exhibit customer focus and conflict resolutions skills.

Schedule

  • Typical Worker/Geologist work week is 4, 10 hour days (Monday - Thursday) with some 10 day shifts. Extensive travel throughout the southeastern United States mainly Georgia, Alabama and Mississippi. Agency will be required to provide the worker with a vehicle for transportation (Ford F250 4X4 or similar).

Pay: $55.00 per hour
