We are seeking a dependable and skilled On-Call Maintenance Technician to handle after-hours maintenance requests and emergency repairs, ensuring the safety, comfort, and satisfaction of our tenants.
Position Summary
As an On-Call Maintenance Technician, you will respond to after-hours service calls, perform a variety of repairs, and ensure issues are resolved efficiently and professionally. You’ll use your technical expertise to troubleshoot problems, complete repairs independently, and coordinate with licensed contractors for larger projects.
This is a hands-on role that requires a strong work ethic, technical proficiency, and a commitment to high-quality workmanship.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond promptly to after-hours and emergency maintenance calls.
- Diagnose and repair issues related to plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliances, locks, and general property maintenance.
- Perform make-ready and turnover tasks to prepare homes for new tenants.
- Maintain accurate service records, including photos and details of materials used.
- Communicate professionally with tenants, vendors, and property managers.
- Keep tools, vehicles, and equipment in safe working condition.
- Escalate complex repairs and coordinate with external contractors when necessary.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years in residential maintenance, property management, or a skilled trade.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in plumbing, light electrical, HVAC troubleshooting, and appliance repair.
- License: A valid Georgia driver’s license and reliable transportation are required.
- Certifications: EPA 608 and trade certifications preferred but not required.
- Availability: Must be available nights, weekends, and holidays as part of an on-call rotation.
- Physical Requirements: Able to lift up to 50 lbs., climb ladders, and work in confined spaces (attics, crawlspaces).
- Soft Skills: Excellent communication, time management, and problem-solving skills.
