Rockville Audio is seeking an experienced and dynamic Human Resources Director to oversee and own the companywide HR function, with heavy emphasis on Recruiting and Performance Management. Key Responsibilities
Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning
- Own the end-to-end recruiting strategy across all departments (corporate, operations, logistics, technical, creative etc.)
- Partner with executives to define role requirements, success profiles, and hiring priorities
- Build and execute scalable recruiting processes, including sourcing strategies, interview frameworks, and selection criteria
- Develop employer branding initiatives to attract high-quality candidates
- Oversee external recruiting partners, job boards, and referral programs
Performance Management & Talent Development
- Implement and own the company's performance management framework (OKRs, KPIs, reviews)
- Lead annual and ongoing performance review cycles
- Coach managers on goal-setting, feedback, performance improvement plans, and difficult conversations
- Identify high-potential employees and succession planning opportunities
- Drive accountability while maintaining fairness, clarity, and employee engagement
- Analyze performance data to inform promotion, compensation, and development decisions
Manager Enablement & Leadership Support
- Act as a trusted advisor to executives and department managers
- Support leaders through change management, growth phases, and workforce transitions
- Elevate management capability through training, tools, and ongoing coaching
HR Operations & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws
- Oversee employee relations, investigations, and policy enforcement
- Manage HR systems (HRIS, ATS, performance platforms)
- Partner with payroll, benefits, and finance teams as needed
- Maintain up-to-date policies, handbooks, and documentation
Culture & Engagement
- Help define and reinforce company values and behavioral expectations
- Drive employee engagement initiatives aligned with performance and retention
- Support onboarding programs that accelerate productivity and cultural alignment
- Partner with leadership on recognition and retention strategies
Qualifications & Experience
- 7-10 years of progressive HR experience, including senior leadership roles
- Deep expertise in recruiting and performance management systems
- Strong business insight with the ability to connect people strategy to company results
- Knowledge of employment law and HR compliance best practices
- Experience with HRIS, ATS, and performance management platforms
- Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree or SHRM-SCP/PHR-SPHR preferred
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $90, $120,000.00 per year
