Position: Teller
Location: Pasadena, CA (On-site at our corporate office)
Are you detail-oriented, dependable, and passionate about helping others with their banking needs? E-Central Credit Union is seeking a motivated and friendly Teller to join our team! In this role, you’ll be the face of our credit union, providing excellent service to our members while accurately processing a variety of transactions.
Job Summary / Description:
As a Teller, you'll perform a range of essential tasks to assist members with their banking needs. Your responsibilities will include processing member transactions in person and through the mail, ensuring each one is completed with accuracy and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process Transactions: Handle member transactions such as deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, cashier checks, cash advances, and more, ensuring accuracy and compliance with credit union policies.
- Cash Management: Maintains cash drawer in accordance with assigned cash limits and policy and procedures. Balance your cash drawer at the end of each day or shift.
- Promote Credit Union Services: Build strong relationships with members and actively promote our products and services. Consistently identify opportunities to cross-sell and recommend solutions based on members’ needs.
- Maintain Compliance: Adhere to all credit union teller policies, procedures, and state and federal regulations, (Reg CC, Bank Secrecy Act, etc.) to ensure the security and compliance of all transactions
- Positive Member Relations: Create a welcoming and friendly environment for all members, answering inquiries and providing assistance with various financial services.
What We’re Looking For:
- Customer Service Experience: Prior experience in customer service, especially in a banking or credit union environment, is preferred.
- Attention to Detail: Accuracy is critical, particularly when processing transactions and managing cash.
- Strong Communication Skills: Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with members, both in person and over the phone.
- Bilingual (Spanish/English): While being bilingual is not required, it is a plus.
- Team Player: You enjoy collaborating with others and contributing to a positive team dynamic.
- Tech-Savvy: Comfortable using banking software and technology, and quick to learn new systems and processes.

This is a full-time position (Monday-Friday, 8:30 am-5:30 pm) working on-site in our Pasadena office. Pay is commensurate with experience; this position is eligible for incentive pay.
Salary : $19 - $22
