Economics and Personal Finance Teacher (SY 26-27)

The primary responsibility of every teacher is to develop, implement, and maintain a competency-aligned educational program that will teach each student the technical skills and knowledge of their program area, as well as the 21st Century Workplace Readiness Skills for the Commonwealth of Virginia   

• Demonstrates long-range planning and knowledge of the student area.
• Completes daily written lesson plans which fulfill learning objectives consistent with LCS' curricula and SOLs.
• Plans for individual student differences.

• Bachelor’s degree in Business or similar degree, preferred
• Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, a plus
• Candidate must possess or be eligible for a Virginia teaching license with an Business Education endorsement.

• In depth knowledge of the subject(s) to be taught. 

• Demonstrate considerable knowledge of the principles and methodologies of effective teaching. 

• Knowledgeable in the use of computers and technology

• Basic knowledge of different computer-based instructional software
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite or Google Productivity Suite (Docs, Slides, Sheets)
