FORKLIFT DRIVER

About the Role:

The Forklift Driver plays a critical role in the efficient operation of warehouse and distribution centers by safely and accurately moving materials and products using forklift equipment. This position ensures that inventory is transported, stacked, and organized in designated areas to facilitate smooth workflow and timely order fulfillment. The Forklift Driver is responsible for maintaining a clean and safe work environment by adhering to all safety protocols and operational guidelines. This role requires attention to detail to prevent damage to goods and equipment while optimizing space utilization. Ultimately, the Forklift Driver contributes to the overall productivity and safety of the facility by supporting logistics and inventory management processes.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Valid forklift operator certification or license in accordance with OSHA regulations.
• Proven experience operating forklifts safely in a warehouse or industrial setting.
• Ability to read and understand safety guidelines and operational instructions.
• Physical ability to perform manual labor, including lifting, standing, and maneuvering equipment for extended periods.
• Basic math skills to accurately handle inventory and documentation.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with different types of forklifts, such as counterbalance, reach trucks, or pallet jacks.
• Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) or inventory tracking software.
• Previous experience working in a fast-paced distribution or manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities:

• Operate forklifts to load, unload, move, and stack materials and products within the warehouse or distribution center.
• Inspect forklifts and related equipment daily to ensure proper functioning and report any maintenance needs promptly.
• Follow all safety procedures and company policies to maintain a safe working environment for self and coworkers.
• Accurately document inventory movements and assist with inventory counts as required.
• Collaborate with warehouse team members to coordinate efficient material handling and timely order processing.
