E-Bike Technician / Bicycle Mechanic

We're looking for a skilled Bicycle & E-Bike Technician who takes pride in exceptional workmanship, enjoys solving mechanical and electrical problems, and wants to help build one of the best bicycle service departments in Virginia.

What You'll Do

As a member of our service team, you'll be responsible for delivering outstanding repairs and an exceptional customer experience.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues on a wide variety of bicycles and e-bikes.
• Perform tune-ups, brake adjustments, drivetrain repairs, wheel truing, bearing service, flat repairs, and component replacements.
• Diagnose motors, batteries, displays, controllers, and electrical systems.
• Assemble new bicycles and e-bikes to showroom-quality standards.
• Test ride bicycles after repairs to ensure every bike leaves operating safely and correctly.
• Clearly communicate repair recommendations and educate customers on proper maintenance.
• Maintain accurate repair notes and communicate with customers throughout the repair process.
• Keep the workshop clean, organized, efficient, and professional.
• Work closely with the sales team to ensure every customer has an exceptional experience from start to finish.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who genuinely enjoys working on bikes and takes pride in doing things the right way.

The ideal candidate has:

• Previous experience as a bicycle mechanic.
• Experience working on e-bike systems (strongly preferred).
• Bosch, Shimano, Bafang, or other manufacturer certifications (a plus, but not required).
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
• The ability to learn new technologies and repair procedures.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• The ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment.
• A positive attitude and willingness to help wherever needed.
• The ability to safely lift bicycles and equipment throughout the day.
