E.A. Buck is a fast-growing financial services company with dual headquarters in Denver and Honolulu. We’re seeking a Senior Tax Associate to join our growing team! The Senior Tax Associate is responsible for preparing and filing personal and business tax returns. At times, the Senior Tax Associate may also perform bookkeeping, payroll, and client servicing functions. Additionally, the position will work cross sectionally with the other Buck Enterprise entities as needed.
This position is a full-time, in-office position based out of our Honolulu office.
NOTE: Only people who are currently living in Hawaii will be considered for this role.
Salary / Benefits Package:
- Base Salary range of $90,000 to $110,000 per year, based on experience.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepare personal and business tax returns as needed.
- Assemble the workpapers in a clear, organized, and functional manner with appropriate notations.
- Conduct comprehensive client meetings to review and discuss completed tax returns in depth by explaining key findings, exploring tax strategies, and identifying tax planning opportunities.
- As needed, present completed tax return packages to the clients either in person or electronically through DocuSign.
- Service clients by taking calls, scheduling appointments, and interfacing with drop-in clients.
- Generate billing for completed returns.
- Stay current on the latest tax guidance, rules, and regulations.
- Research special tax and accounting issues as needed.
- Maintain data integrity of CRM and other internal systems.
- Remain up-to-date with Continuing Education (CE) credits to retain industry credentials.
- Client support outside of tax season regarding tax notices, tax refunds, or other issues.
- Special projects as needed.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
- Minimum of 6 full years of tax season experience required
- CPA or EA preferred
- Prior client-facing experience strongly preferred
- Ability to communicate complex information clearly with excellent communication and presentation skills
- Strong Interpersonal Communications Skills

- Advanced Computer Skills.
