Responsibilities
- Prepare comprehensive construction estimates by analyzing blueprints, specifications, and project requirements using tools such as Bluebeam and HeavyBid.
- Develop detailed project budgets, including labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor costs while maintaining strict cost control measures.
- Lead negotiations with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to secure favorable contracts and pricing agreements.
- Manage project timelines, schedules, and resource allocation to ensure timely completion while adhering to safety standards.
- Oversee construction site activities to monitor progress, quality control, and compliance with contractual obligations.
- Collaborate with project teams to develop accurate bids and proposals that reflect project scope and client expectations.
- Maintain detailed documentation of contracts, change orders, and project correspondence to ensure transparency and accountability throughout the project lifecycle.
Experience
- Proven experience in construction estimating combined with strong project management skills.
- Proficiency with Bluebeam for digital markup and document management; experience with HeavyBid is highly desirable.
- Solid understanding of construction estimating techniques, cost control strategies, and pricing methodologies.
- Hands-on construction site experience that provides insight into field operations and safety protocols.
- Demonstrated ability to negotiate effectively with clients and subcontractors to achieve mutually beneficial agreements.
- Familiarity with construction management software tools and contract administration processes.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
