About The Role
Do you have an interest or passion for sewing? As a Lockstitch Operative here at Johnstons of Elgin, you will be operating various types of sewing machines to manufacture high quality soft accessories for world renowned brands. This hands-on role also includes intricate hand sewing, cutting, quality inspection and other practical tasks. Precision, consistency, and care are essential, as you will be working with a variety of fabrics, patterns, and finishes. You will nonetheless aim to achieve the required output levels to meet our production plan.
This is a permanent position on our late shift (34 hours), working 1600 – 0100 Monday to Thursday.
Rate of pay for this role is £13.08 per hour, increasing to £13.45 in May 2026.
