What are the responsibilities and job description for the Staff Accountant – AR/AP position at DyStar?
DyStar is a leading specialty chemical company with a global presence. We have an immediate need for a Staff Accountant – AR/AP in our Americas Regional Headquarters located in Charlotte, NC. This is an individual contributor role reporting to the Accounting Manager.
Job Summary:
- Cash Application and Bank reconciliation
- Collect Money for Business Unit
- Process suppliers’ invoices and ensure company can pay suppliers timely
Primary Responsibilities:
- Process daily cash and wire receipts for internal Business Unit
- Enter invoices in customer portals to be paid
- Process Accounts Receivable statements to Customers
- Review suppliers’ invoices
- Check with related parties to clarify issues in invoices
- Ensure proper approved received for invoices received
- Enter invoices into system timely
- Process employee T&E reports
- Assist Accounting Manager with day to day, month, and year end operations of Accounting / Finance department
- Prepare Ad Hoc reports and perform other assigned duties
Supervisory Responsibilities: None
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance preferred, will consider equivalent combination of education and experience
- 3 years of experience
- Knowledge of fundamental Accounting and Finance processes
- Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with other Microsoft office products
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Attention to detail and strong analytical skills
- Excellent customer service mindset
This is an on-site role in Charlotte, NC; not open to remote or hybrid work.
