Dyslexia Reading Tutor:
Hiring for Lehi and American Fork, Utah Location
Job Description: Very exciting opportunity to join an amazing team at the Dyslexia Center of Utah. You will be trained in our exclusive Orton-Gillingham, Science of Reading top notch Program and curriculum. Due to our explosive growth the Dyslexia Center of Utah is in need of a part-time Reading Tutor at their Lehi and American Fork, Utah location. We have been tutoring students for the last 24 years. We currently tutor 285 students at our 5 locations.
Local applicants only.
Commitment:
At least 1 year
*We Tutor All Year- (Summer included)
Days:
Mon. and Wed. or Tues. and Thurs. (We are off on Friday)
We follow the school district calendar and are off when school is off along with all national holidays. You are not paid when our centers are closed.
If a student is absent you are paid.
If you tutor 10 (45 min.) sessions a day, you are paid an additional fee for lunch.
Hours:
Mon. and Wed. 12:30-5:00 pm or Tues. and Thur. 12:30-5:00 pm
*Training/observing: Train in our EXCLUSIVE Orton-Gillingham Science of Reading Program and curriculum only found at the Dyslexia Center of Utah.
Starting Tutoring Pay: $20-$32 (depending on the amount of students you tutor)
Group tutoring: 2 students = add an additional $15.00 a session
This is a permanent position and only those that are serious about the job and willing to stay for one year or longer need apply.

Duties & Responsibilities:
A fun outgoing personality is required.
Enjoy working with children.
Tutor children using the OG multi-sensory teaching approach- (will be trained in our program)
Be a strong advocate for dyslexia in the community
Participate in fundraising for the DCU organization
Communicate frequently with parents about their child’s progression
Substantial pay raise when the tutor goes through the requirements to certify in the Dyslexia Center of Utah Exclusive Orton-Gillingham Science of Reading Program.
Education/Experience:
DCU would prefer an Elementary, Secondary Education or equivalent experience working with children.
Tutor will work with individual students one-on-one, though we occasionally will require group tutoring for students who are at the same level.
