SUMMARY: To assist in providing a well-organized and effective class environment in which students can take full advantage of the instructional program and available resource materials.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Distribute, and collect textbooks, materials and audiovisual material, including lap tops.
- Check out and check-in books, materials and audiovisual material.
- Do minor repair on books, equipment and pamphlets.
- Maintain computer records, operates standard office equipment.
- Train other district personnel in use of equipment and may use same equipment.
- Interact with/assist students, staff, community with Student Common usage including computers.
- Work closely with Instructional Technology Department to troubleshoot computer issues.
- Support iSchool in the Student Commons.
- Compile/update and bill for overdue book list (microcomputer).
- Compile and update book list, using software.
- Maintain a variety of records.
- Design graphic and puts up display date.
- Schedule and check out audio equipment.
- Assist in ordering and budgeting.
- Train volunteers.
- Establish and maintain good rapport with students, employees, community members and vendors.
- Maintain a high level of ethical behavior and confidentiality.
- Other job related duties as assigned.
EDUCATION:
- High school diploma or G.E.D.
EXPERIENCE
- Knowledge of computer operating systems.
- Demonstrated ability in record keeping.
COMPUTER SKILLS:
- Demonstrated competency in computer literacy.
LENSING/CERTIFICATIONS:
- Obtain and maintain a valid Arizona Identity Verified Prints (IVP) Fingerprint Clearance Card (AZ IVP FPCC).
KNOWLEDGE OF:
- Standard practices, methods and materials of assigned work.
- Basic mathematical, reading and writing concepts.
- Filing and record-keeping principles.
- Uses and properties of supplies and equipment.
- Customer service principles.
- Specialized equipment relevant to area of assignment.

ADA AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
Positions in this class require: stooping, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, fingering, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, seeing and repetitive motions.
Medium Work: Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.
Working Conditions: Work is routinely performed in an indoor classroom environment.
