Supply Chain & Operations Manager (Purchasing, Planning, Supplier Management)
This role is responsible for end-to-end procurement, demand planning, and supplier relationship management for consumer products. This role ensures product availability, cost control, quality standards, and on-time delivery while supporting growth, inventory optimization, and cross-functional collaboration. This is a hands-on position as we are a small team and are needing someone that has experience in all of these areas – and can jump in quickly. This position reports to our Chief Supply Chain Officer.

Core Competencies
- Identifies, evaluates, and sources suppliers to balance cost, quality, and reliability.
- Forecasts product demand and manages inventory levels to support sales while minimizing shortages.
- Negotiates pricing and terms and builds strong, performance-driven supplier relationships.
- Uses data to identify trends, resolve issues and improve supply chain decisions.
Purchasing & Procurement
- Source, negotiate, and manage suppliers for consumer products, packaging, and related materials.
- Issue and manage purchase orders in alignment with forecasts and inventory plans.
- Monitor pricing, minimum order quantities, lead times, and payment terms.
- Ensure compliance with contracts, quality standards, and company policies.
Demand Planning & Inventory Management
- Collaborate with Sales, Finance, Marketing, and Operations to develop accurate demand forecasts.
- Plan inventory levels to support promotions, launches, and seasonal demand.
- Monitor inventory turns, stock levels, and aging inventory.
- Identify and mitigate risks related to shortages, overages, or supply disruptions.
- Manage the inventory levels and shipments of FBA Amazon inventory separate from DC.
Supplier & Relationship Management
- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned vendors.
- Conduct regular vendor performance reviews (cost, quality, service, delivery).
- Resolve supplier issues related to delays, defects, or discrepancies.
- Support vendor onboarding, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with Marketing on new product launches and promotional planning.
- Coordinate with Logistics and Operations on inbound shipments and timelines.
- Work with Finance on cost analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Support Product Development with sourcing and feasibility assessments.
Reporting & Analysis
- Track KPIs such as forecast accuracy, inventory turns, fill rates, and vendor performance.
- Prepare purchasing, inventory, and supply chain reports.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and efficiency improvements.
Supply Chain & ERP System Support
- Support testing, implementation and maintenance of EDI and other retailer integrations.
- Schedule and manage TL/LTL/CL/LCL domestic and international shipments.
- Involved in import and export regulatory requirements.
- Ensuring GS1 requirements to support UPC/GTIN issuance and maintenance.

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3-5 years of Supply Chain or operations experience, preferable in E-Commerce or Retail
- Experience working with International vendors and partners across time zones
- Strong communication, collaboration, and teamwork skills, with the ability to effectively engage with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Excellent analytical skills, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, SUMIFS function and similar Excel analytical formulas/tools
- Proficiency with the Google Workspace, MS Office Suite, NetSuite, Fulfillment Management applications and ERP/inventory systems
- Experience working with 3PLs, warehouse teams, and retail partners
- Excellent organizational skills and high attention to detail
- Prior experience working in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment
