SAP ABAP Technical Consultant

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly experienced SAP ABAP Technical Consultant with strong functional understanding of SD/OTC processes. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with business stakeholders, functional teams, and cross-platform technical groups to design, develop, and support complex customizations in a fast-paced S/4HANA environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, test, and deploy high-quality ABAP solutions including RICEFW objects, enhancements, interfaces, forms, and reports.
• Work on SD/OTC-related developments such as custom IDoc enhancements, pricing routines, user exits, BAdIs, delivery/billing enhancements, and interface programs.
• Support order management, shipping, delivery, billing, invoicing, credit/debit memo, returns, and RMA processes from a technical perspective.
• Collaborate with functional SD/OTC teams to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• Develop and support integrations between SAP and non-SAP systems (CPI/BTP, middleware, APIs, EDI).
• Perform ABAP debugging, troubleshooting, and performance tuning of complex custom objects.
• Work on CDS views, OData services, and backend development for Fiori applications (preferred).
• Provide production support, defect resolution, and root-cause analysis for OTC processes and interfaces.
• Prepare technical specifications and ensure adherence to SAP development standards and best practices.

Required Skills & Experience:

• 10 years of hands-on experience as an SAP ABAP Technical Developer.
• Strong functional exposure to SD/OTC processes and solid understanding of order-to-cash flows.
• Deep experience with enhancements including User Exits, BAdIs, Enhancement Framework, VOFM routines, pricing routines, and workflow triggers.
• Strong experience with IDoc development—custom IDocs, mapping, partner profiles, and troubleshooting.
• Proficiency in ABAP OO, performance tuning, ALV, and RFC/BAPI/BADI implementations.
• Experience with S/4HANA objects, CDS views, and OData services (highly preferred).
• Experience supporting or developing integrations (EDI, CPI/BTP, API-based) is a plus.
• Ability to work independently in a dynamic environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
