What You’ll Do
As a Researcher, you will be a part of a team that develops new initiation systems and improves existing products. You will be responsible for energetic materials research and technology, new product development, process and product improvements, product technology and testing activities relating to cast boosters, NONEL shock tube systems, electronic Initiation system products. Other duties will include:
- Support and optimize manufacturing processes.
- Plan, execute, and report on experimental testing.
- Assist in resolving customer complaints.
- Conduct lab testing to ensure product safety and performance.
- Document and share test results with relevant stakeholders.
- Support patent filings with accurate technical input.
- Supervise lab staff to ensure proper training and testing procedures.
- Analyze competitor products to identify opportunities for innovation.
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or Materials Engineering.
- Experience in the explosives, mining, or related industries preferred.
- 5 years in product design, materials development, or process chemistry.
- Hands-on experience with product testing and validation, including destructive testing preferred.
- Strong project management, data analysis, and reporting skills.
- Proficiency with analytical instruments and lab procedures.
- Effective team player with strong communication skills.
- Positive attitude and ability to work across functional teams.
