Job Summary:
As a Press Brake Setup/Operator, you will be responsible for setting up and operating press brake machines to bend, shape, and form metal components according to engineering specifications. Your expertise will ensure that production runs smoothly, maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate press brake machines, ensuring all tooling and settings are appropriate for each job.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications to determine the proper machine settings and bending sequences.
- Inspect finished products to ensure they meet specified tolerances and quality standards; make adjustments as necessary.
- Perform routine maintenance on press brake machines to ensure optimal performance and longevity, including cleaning and lubricating components.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Work closely with team members, engineers, and supervisors to optimize production processes and troubleshoot any issues that arise.
- Maintain accurate records of production quantities, machine settings, and any deviations from the standard process.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 5 years of experience in Press brake machine operator
- Proficient in operating press brake machinery and understanding of bending techniques.
- Strong mathematical skills for measuring and calculating angles, lengths, and tolerances.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $21.00 - $25.00 per hour
