Responsibilities: A Gun Loader ensures the loading of guns, repair of gun loading equipment, ensure guns are properly stored, perforating guns and equipment meets company, state, and federal standards. This is an hourly non-exempt position.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS: Success in this position requires strong attention to details and proficient in the following responsibilities and have one (1) year Wireline Gun Loading Experience and CDL Class A.

· Knowledge of transportation and assembling perforating guns, tool strings and explosive material, loading explosive charges and detonator cords.

· Knowledge of guns, explosives, and related materials in storage facilities according to established safety procedures. Assist with shipping and receiving and maintaining inventory of all explosives.

· Proficient knowledge in all areas of loading all gun types and explosive usage. Ability to complete paperwork required by regulatory agencies when receiving, issuing, and handling explosives.

· Can assemble perforating guns using special loading hand tools and ability to conduct magazine inspections.

· Cleaning and maintenance of the gun shop and perform preventative maintenance on equipment. Perform pre/post equipment inspections. Ability to load out-jobs and identify equipment and tools are present before crew leaves for a job site.

· Ability to inspect and test equipment, assemble, disassemble, inspect and report worn or broken parts to management for replacement, repair parts and install correctly.

· Can identify gun loading equipment and tools. Use wrenches, gauges, drills, grinders and other specialized tools and equipment. Certified to safely operate forklifts, and overhead cranes.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Skills should include mechanical, electrical, and troubleshooting of related equipment.

· Knowledge of the types of explosives needed for each specific job and all applications of explosives used in a wireline business operations.

· Ability to read, comprehend and interpret documents, manuals and work orders, and effectively communicate information. Comply with OSHA and HSE policies and guidelines.

· Knowledge of DOT and ATF Hazmat Explosive Safety regulations. Wear appropriate PPE.

· Basic math skills required. Ability to apply problem solving skills to all situations. Strong work ethic and ability to work in a positive team environment.

· Must be prepared to make intestate/intrastate journeys and perform other duties as assigned.

WORKING CONDITIONS: Must frequently lift and/or move 10 - 50 pounds. Work schedule could be 24 hour on-call including nights and weekends.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: · Must have a valid CDL Class A Driver’s License with a Hazardous Endorsement. Knowledge of DOT regulations, Explosive Safety, ATF and laws regarding explosives and radioactive material.

· Basic MS office, math, and mechanical aptitude. Must be able to obtain an ATF Employer Possessor of Explosives. Basic understanding of the English language including reading, comprehension and writing skills required.

· Must be a U.S. citizen, or lawful permanent resident of the U.S. (student Visa does not qualify) as established by ATF federal government regulations.

· English (Bilingual a plus).
