Position summary
The Clinical Lead is a clinical-operational hybrid role — the day-to-day manager of Dynasty Dermatology's clinical team and an active clinical contributor. This role requires both the clinical credibility to earn the respect of providers and MAs and the operational skills to manage scheduling, protocols, compliance, and the surgery center's clinical coordination.
A Registered Nurse background is strongly preferred. This person will not only manage the clinical team but will perform Lead Medical Assistant duties as needed, train staff on EMR scribing, and own CLIA and OSHA compliance across the practice. They are the bridge between the clinical staff and both the Practice Administrator (operational matters) and the Clinical Director (clinical matters).
Essential duties and responsibilities
Team management and culture
- Day-to-day management of all clinical staff — MAs, preceptors, and clinical support
- Direct supervision and daily direction of all three Nurse Practitioners
- Staff scheduling and coverage across the clinical department — ensures no gaps
- Conducts regular performance conversations and escalates formal matters to Practice Administrator
- Leads clinical staff onboarding, orientation, and ongoing training
- Builds and maintains a high-performance, accountable clinical team culture
- Manages clinical staffing for surgery center in coordination with Practice AdministratorClinical operations
- Manages daily provider scheduling support and room assignments across all providers
- Ensures clinical workflow efficiency — patient flow, rooming, documentation support
- Monitors provider-to-staff ratios and flags scheduling gaps proactively
- Bridges clinical staff and Practice Administrator on all operational matters
- Bridges clinical staff and Clinical Director on all clinical matters when active
- Supports onboarding of incoming providers from a clinical workflow perspective
- Performs duties as Lead Medical Assistant as needed to support clinical operationsSurgery center management
- Owns clinical coordination and management for the surgery center
- Manages shared clinical staff scheduling between main practice and surgery center
- Ensures surgery center clinical readiness, supply levels, and compliance standards
- Coordinates pre-operative and post-operative clinical workflows
- Serves as the clinical point of contact for surgery center operational mattersProtocols, compliance, and training
- Develops and maintains clinical protocols and procedure standards across all service lines
- Manages clinical documentation standards and compliance requirements
- Owns CLIA compliance — laboratory standards, quality control, and documentation
- Owns OSHA compliance execution — infection control, safety protocols, needlestick procedures, required trainings
- Leads EMR scribing training for clinical staff — ensures accurate and efficient documentation
- Manages clinical supply inventory — ordering, tracking, and reorder management
- Supports audit readiness for all clinical operations and regulatory reviews

- Clinical team is fully staffed and scheduled with zero coverage gaps
- Provider satisfaction with clinical staff support is consistently high
- CLIA and OSHA compliance is maintained with all required trainings current
- Surgery center clinical operations run smoothly from day one of opening

Qualifications
- Registered Nurse (RN) strongly preferred — clinical credibility with providers is essential for this role
- 3 years of experience in a multi-provider clinical environment
- Experience in dermatology, Mohs surgery, or aesthetics strongly preferred
- Surgery center clinical experience a significant plus
- Proven ability to manage and develop clinical teams — people management experience required
- CLIA and OSHA healthcare compliance training and certification
- EMR proficiency required — EzDerm experience preferred; strong systems aptitude required
- Comfort performing MA-level clinical duties alongside management responsibilities
