Overview
Join a next-generation automotive OEM building electric trucks and rugged SUVs from the ground up. As the Manager, Line Delivery, you will lead end-to-end in-house logistics operations within the Assembly Shop—ensuring Just-In-Time (JIT) and Just-In-Sequence (JIS) delivery of parts to maintain uninterrupted production.
This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for scaling logistics operations, building teams, and designing efficient material flow systems in a high-volume automotive manufacturing environment.
What You’ll Do
- Lead in-house logistics operations supporting assembly line production
- Manage ~200 hourly associates across 3 shifts ~20 specialists
- Oversee line feeding, sequencing, and material delivery operations
- Ensure JIT & JIS delivery to the production line with zero disruption
- Design and optimize:
- Material flow strategies
- Tugger routes, AGV paths, and internal transport systems
- Manage supermarkets (picking/staging areas) and inventory flow
- Oversee full container & empty container logistics cycles
- Implement and improve logistics processes, structures, and equipment
- Ensure operational safety, compliance, and environmental standards
- Lead recruiting, training, and workforce planning (blue white collar)
- Manage annual and cycle inventory processes
- Develop contingency plans (maintenance, breakdowns, emergency logistics)
Required Qualifications
- 10 years in automotive logistics or production
- 3 years of people leadership in operations
- Experience in high-volume automotive manufacturing
- Proven expertise in:
- Just-In-Time (JIT) delivery
- Just-In-Sequence (JIS) operations
- Line feeding operations
- Experience with:
- Supermarkets & staging areas
- Internal transport (tuggers, AGVs, forklifts)
- Material flow planning & route optimization
- Experience managing large teams (200 employees)
- Bachelor’s degree required
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Has built or scaled in-house logistics operations from scratch
- Deep understanding of assembly line dependency on sequencing accuracy
- Strong operator with hands-on plant floor leadership style
- Experience writing standard work / logistics processes
- Comfortable in fast-paced, startup-like OEM environments
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $120,394.47 - $145,915.92 per year
