Position Overview

As a Staff Accountant, you will support Dynamo Capital’s accounting operations, month-end close process, account reconciliations, and financial reporting workstreams. Reporting to the Controller, this role is responsible for maintaining accurate accounting records, preparing timely reconciliations and schedules, and supporting internal and external stakeholders with clean, well-organized financial information.

This position is intended for a detail-oriented accounting professional who can execute recurring accounting tasks reliably, identify issues early, and grow within a fast-moving Private Credit organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Support key components of the month-end and year-end close process, including preparation of journal entries, accruals, and supporting schedules
• Support treasury management functions, including wire preparation, ACH processing, check printing, cash monitoring, bank account administration, in accordance with established approval and internal control procedures.
• Prepare cash and bank reconciliations and assist with review of daily banking activity, cash movement, and transaction coding
• Maintain general ledger support, account rollforwards, and detailed workpapers for assigned balance sheet and income statement accounts
• Assist with accounts payable and receivable processes, including invoice coding, vendor support, payment tracking, and receivable follow-up
• Support preparation of GAAP financial statement schedules and management reporting packages under the direction of the Controller
• Assist with investment, loan, fee revenue, and borrower-related schedules, including rollforwards and monthly activity updates
• Prepare monthly reconciliations and support schedules for lines of credit, repurchase facilities, interest expense, and related financing activity
• Coordinate with outsourced accounting providers and internal team members to gather support, resolve reconciling items, and maintain accurate records
• Support ERP and accounting system enhancements, including data validation, testing, documentation, and cleanup activities
• Assist with annual audit requests by preparing PBC schedules, compiling support, and responding to follow-up questions in a timely manner
• Maintain organized documentation for recurring accounting processes and support internal control improvements
• Assist with special projects and ad hoc financial analysis as assigned
  
  

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 1–3 years of accounting experience, preferably in financial services, real estate lending, private credit, fund accounting, or a related environment
• Solid understanding of US GAAP fundamentals and core accounting processes
• Experience with ERP or accounting systems such as NetSuite, QuickBooks, Sage Intacct, or Yardi preferred
• Intermediate to advanced Excel proficiency
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment while maintaining strong communication and follow-through
