Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Buyer to join our procurement team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and managing supplier relationships to ensure the timely acquisition of quality materials, products, and services. Your expertise will drive cost efficiencies, optimize supply chain operations, and support manufacturing and production processes. The ideal candidate is proactive, analytical, and possesses a strong understanding of procurement systems and contract management to contribute effectively to our organizational goals. Process orders and quotes to the suppliers. Follow-up on pending orders

Requirements:

Minimum qualifications:

The candidate must be a team player, should be able to work independently, act decisively, and have above-average planning and organizational skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills are required.

Experience:

Minimum 3 to 5 years’ experience in a fast paced manufacturing environment. Mustbe computer literate in Microsoft Excel and Word. Blue print reading is a plus.

Education:

A minimum of high school education or GED with previous experience is required.

Working conditions:

Sitting, walking, and standing for up to 8hours in the Day. Able to lift 25 lbs. as required. Minimum 40 work hours expected per week during company operating hours. Some over-time may be required. Other Duties may be assigned as appropriate.

Responsibilities

• Duties and Responsibilities
• 1. Purchase Order Placement for deliverable materials and hardware to support
• Manufacturing operations.
• 2. Day to day management of supplier deliveries for Production and non-
• Production goods and services, including parts expediting and tracking
• 3. Negotiate pricing and work on long-term agreements with supply base
• 4. Create and maintain reports using MRP, Microsoft Excel, Word, and Power Point
• 5. Plan and schedule requirements in company MRP system
• 6. Build and maintain purchase orders in company MRP system.
• 7. Provides instruction and guidance to others as required
• 8. Will follow up with suppliers to ensure on time deliveries and resolution of
• outstanding issues.
• 9. Cross-functional communications with other teams (including Finance, QA,
• Engineering, Operations, etc…) to maintain a sufficient supply of raw materials
• and hardware to support manufacturing schedule requirements
• 10. Coordinate with other departments to support all schedule requirements and
• to resolve purchasing / production issues.
• 11. Participate in problem solving and continuous improvement efforts
• 12. Negotiate with vendors to obtain optimum Payment Terms, Pricing and Delivery
• 13. Manage Open PO, open Purchase Requisition and Past-Due PO backlogs,
• including updated delivery schedules and tracking information
• 14. Obtain competitive quotes for each purchase
• 15. Issue PO to vendors/suppliers within timely manner
• 16. Other duties may be assigned

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $27.00 per hour
