Primary Role: managing customer inquiries, processing orders, and coordinating shipments to ensure timely and accurate delivery. Responsibilities include providing quotes, tracking shipments, resolving transit issues, and handling necessary documentation and invoicing. Core responsibilities
• Customer communication: Serve as a point of contact to answer questions, resolve issues, and provide updates to customers and carriers.
• Order processing: Enter customer orders into the system, process small parcel and truck orders, and handle credit card orders.
• Shipment coordination: Book and schedule pickups and deliveries, prepare bills of lading, and issue shipping instructions.
• Tracking and problem-solving: Monitor shipments in transit, proactively address any problems, and ensure timely delivery.
• Quoting and invoicing: Prepare quotes for customers, calculate shipping costs, and work with the accounting team to prepare invoices.
Essential skills and qualifications
• Communication: Excellent listening, speaking, and written communication skills are needed to interact with customers, carriers, and internal teams effectively.
