Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Nurse Practitioner role based in Tulsa, OK. The Nurse Practitioner will provide comprehensive wound assessments, develop and implement individualized treatment plans, and perform advanced wound care procedures in collaboration with the care team. Daily responsibilities include monitoring healing progress, adjusting therapies, documenting clinical findings in the medical record, and coordinating care with physicians, facilities, and home health teams. The role also involves educating patients, families, and caregivers on wound care techniques, prevention strategies, and overall health management. The Nurse Practitioner will participate in quality improvement initiatives, follow evidence-based protocols, and support the integration of technology and mobile-care workflows to deliver consistent, high-quality services.
Qualifications
- Active Nurse Practitioner license in Oklahoma (or eligibility to obtain), with national board certification (e.g., FNP, AGNP, or similar).
- Clinical experience in wound care, dermatology, surgery, geriatrics, or related fields, with strong skills in wound assessment and management.
- Proficiency in patient evaluation, treatment planning, and evidence-based clinical decision-making.
- Strong communication and patient education skills, including the ability to explain care plans and preventive strategies to patients, families, and caregivers.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians, nurses, therapists, and facility staff.
- Comfort with electronic health records and mobile documentation tools; basic computer and technology skills.
- Commitment to patient-centered care, safety, and quality improvement, with attention to detail and sound professional judgment.
- Willingness to travel locally within the Tulsa area to patient locations as needed; valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred.
- Master’s degree in Nursing and completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
- BLS/ACLS certification and familiarity with applicable state and federal healthcare regulations.
