Job Summary:
The Marketing Coordinator position is responsible for coordinating recruiting and marketing activities throughout the organization and to support the rest of the recruiting and marketing team. Recruitment marketing is at the front-end of the recruiting process, and the Marketing Coordinator works hand-in-hand with teammates to communicate the employer value proposition, promote the company through various marketing and advertising channels, coordinate local and national recruiting plans, coordinate marketing communications, organize, develop and execute marketing assets and activities, create reports to measure success of marketing activities, as well as contribute new, creative marketing ideas. Plays a critical role in ensuring the company’s brand is developed and portrayed positively and accurately in a competitive market to ensure recruiting success in meeting organizational goals.

Essential Job Functions:
- Develops and maintains internal relationships with recruiters and internal staff, specifically to partner on growing the company size and improving quality of hires
- Assist with creating the employer brand, building brand awareness, and ensuring a positive experience with the company
- Asist with the development and execution of marketing, advertising and recruiting strategies
- Promote the company through various marketing and advertising channels and events
- Engage audiences through social channels by creating, curating and posting content
- Create content to execute content marketing strategies and social media marketing strategies that illuminate our brand
- Communicate and respond to followers who engage with our owned assets and other outside channels
- Manage website content updates and assist with website projects to keep the company’s digital presence modern and up-to-date
- Assist with optimizing channel and advertising spend
- Coordinate communications internally and with outside vendor relationships
- Provides regular market information from external sources to management
- Analyzes data for marketing metrics and reporting
- Networks with industry contacts, association memberships, trade groups, and employees
- Provides on-going support to employees as a member of the Recruiting and Marketing team
- Participates in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals
- Adopts positive values in personal work behaviors, decision making, contributions and interpersonal interactions
- Contributes to a positive work environment by demonstrating cultural expectations and influencing others
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Knowledge and understanding of transportation and trucking, specifically as it relates to recruiting but also general knowledge of the operation
- Extensive knowledge and understanding of social media marketing and social media best practices
- Knowledge and understanding of digital marketing
- Knowledge of HR processes, industry trends, standards, and best practices
- Extensive knowledge and understanding of current business acumen
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent education and work experience
- 3 to 5 years of marketing experience
- Demonstrated experience in social networking, internet mining and social media mediums
- Demonstrated experience researching information, problem solving, and making solid business decisions
- Demonstrated experience reporting, analyzing, interpreting, and critical thinking
- Demonstrated experience producing accurate and detailed work on multiple projects under time pressure
- Demonstrated experience communicating with all levels of management
- Demonstrated experience effectively managing relationships with internal and external partners
- Demonstrated experience working in a fast paced and changing environment
- Demonstrated experience with MS Office software products
- Demonstrated experience with attention to detail, written and oral communication, multi-tasking, and working in a team atmosphere adhering to deadlines, guidelines and following direction
- This position is primarily an in office position
- Normal office environment
- Expectation is to be in the office during normal office hours
- Local travel may be required for company or career-related meetings, programs, and/or events. Occasional overnight travel (up to 20%) may also be required.
