Job Overview

Duties
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments including vital signs, physical examinations, and health histories
- Administer medications and injections accurately following prescribed protocols
- Operate and document using EMR/EHR systems like Epic, Cerner, Athenahealth, or eClinicalWorks
- Monitor patients’ conditions closely and respond promptly to changes in status or emergencies
- Assist with diagnostic evaluations including laboratory specimen collection/processing and medical imaging procedures such as sonography or mammography
- Provide wound care and aseptic techniques to prevent infections
- Educate patients and families on health management, medication regimens, and discharge planning
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams for case management and post-acute care planning
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations and infection control standards
- Support specialized care
Experience
- Proven clinical experience in various healthcare settings such as hospitals (including Level I & II Trauma Centers), ICU/PICU/Neonatal units, emergency rooms, outpatient clinics, or long-term care facilities, andtreatment center.
- Experience with complex medical procedures
- Familiarity with ICD coding (ICD-9/10), CPT coding for procedures, and medical documentation standards is advantageous
- Knowledge of pharmacology related to medication administration and pain management protocols
- Skilled in working with diverse patient populations including pediatrics, geriatrics, behavioral health patients with developmental disabilities or dementia
- Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems such as Epic or Cerner is highly desirable
- Additional certifications such as Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) are preferred
